ABOUT B U GBug was born in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY, USA, Earth.Besides scribbling on papers and strumming songs, she is also a dutiful bass player and composes electronic music. She's played music since she was five and started singing with blues jam bands. After getting over her shyness, she began performing in punk and ska bands . Then she became a total ham. Now she plays music with many different people including kids. You may ask, "Why on earth does Bug go by a name like L. Bug"? It's because that's what her Mama used to call her.Bug plays and produces music she likes, whether its live or in the studio, or solo, or in collaboration with other artists and projects. She's played all over the U.S. and through Mexico and Europe. Tinkering with sounds and words, and bringing pictures to life is her favorite thing to do.

Recordings from Locust Street- 2OO9

Recordings from Locust Street was made while Bug was wearing pajamas at her home on Locust Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. It is solo, acoustic folk-blues.

She planned on re-recording all the tracks to make them more fancy, but then Bug figured, "Nah... this is the way it really came out and that's just the way it really is".

A Vein Inside A Quetzal's Daze- 2OO8

(on Bushwick Blues soundtrack)

a vein inside a quetzal's daze was recorded with open windows and a full band tracked live at the Cathouse (the acoustically perfect former studio of Chris Brown in Park Slope, Brooklyn, where there lived a herd of friendly cats).

It was officially released after a couple the songs made it into a movie featured in The Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival in 2007.

Plug Me In - 2OO3

Plug me in is Bug's very first EP ever. It was recorded while she was living in Miami, FL with help from audio engineer and musician friends who kept urging her to just start recording something already. It dips into all different genres because she threw all the different sounds she was playing with on one CD and called it a day.

Kid Band

the music and songwriting class for kids
Kid Band is an after school music and songwriting class for kids where they contribute their ideas and experiences to the writing of an original song, record the song in a professional recording studio, and bring it home for the family to enjoy. Classes are ongoing and led by Bug and Anthony DeFrancisco, who is better known as "Ant".
